WELCOME TO THE MINT HILL DEMS! 

 WHO WE ARE

The Mint Hill Democrats are a local division of the Mecklenburg County Democratic Party, representing all six voting precincts across Mint Hill. We are neighbors, parents, retirees, young professionals, and lifelong residents who believe Mint Hill’s future is shaped by those who show up. And we are growing.

Mint Hill voters have already shown that change is possible. In previous elections, this town elected a Democrat to the Mint Hill Board of Commissioners—proof that no outcome is predetermined and that when people vote, anything is possible here. 

As Mint Hill grows, so does our movement.

OUR MISSION

Too often, people in Mint Hill feel isolated or assume their voices don’t matter. The truth is: they are not alone. There are thousands of Democrats and Democratic‑leaning independents living right here—and more arriving as Mint Hill continues to grow.

Our mission is simple and powerful: get out the vote in Mint Hill.

We build community by connecting with local residents who care about the direction of our town, county, and state. We mobilize voters by talking with neighbors about the issues that matter most—locally, statewide, and nationally. 

• We show up.

• We knock on doors.

• We send postcards.

• We host monthly gatherings.

• We organize weekly protests.

And we are planning many more local actions that bring people together and keep momentum moving forward.

This is more than a campaign cycle. It’s a movement rooted in participation, persistence, and belief in what Mint Hill can be.

As a coalition, we believe:

• The economy should work for everyone

• Health care is a right

• Our diversity is our strength

• Democracy is worth defending

We believe in equal protections for all and that everyone belongs. We believe in investing in strong public schools, supporting teachers, and ensuring every child has access to a quality education. We believe in protecting our environment and safeguarding clean air and water for future generations.

We believe in equal pay for equal work, raising the minimum wage, and creating good‑paying, quality jobs. We believe access to health care should be universal.

Democrats are the party of progress—but progress only happens when people organize, vote, and lead together.

As Mint Hill grows, so will this movement. And history shows that when we participate, we win.
